A special fast-track court in India has convicted six men for the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Jammu and Kashmir last year.
The six may face a life term or death penalty, with the quantum of punishment set to be announced later Monday.
The accused include a retired government official, four police officers and a minor.
According to reports, one of the accused has been let off due to lack of evidence.
The victim was drugged, held captive in a temple and sexually assaulted for a week before being killed near Kathua city in January 2018.
