Bomb disposal officers have carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious package at Manchester Airport on Monday.
A man has been detained and Manchester Airport station evacuated, Greater Manchester Police said in a statement.
"A cordon is in place at Manchester Airport transport interchange and people are encouraged to follow directions from officers," it read.
Flights remain unaffected but all trains, trams and buses are currently suspended to and from the station.
