The Arab League has strongly condemned the incursion into Al Aqsa Mosque by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and the shutdown of the UNRWA-run health centre in East Jerusalem, calling it a violation of international law.
The league described the storming of the mosque, which also involved Israeli settlers under the protection of forces, as a grave breach of the historical and legal status quo and a dangerous escalation in occupied Jerusalem.
It also called on the international community and the UN to take immediate action to halt the incursions, protect the status quo, ensure UNRWA’s continued operations, and hold those responsible accountable.
