Kenny Rogers, 81, passed away peacefully at home from natural causes according to a family representative.
Rogers was regularly at the top of the pop and country charts during the 1970s and 1980s, winning three Grammy awards.
In 2013 he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Country Music Association.
