Six establishments have been shut down by Dubai Municipality during the latest round of inspections that covered more than 2,500 outlets.

A fitness centre was closed in Muhaisnah 4 and another one in Al Barsha 1 due to overcrowding, while two laundries in Naif area were pulled up for violating health and hygiene measures.

Closure orders were also issued to two food outlets in Ras Al Khor Industrial Area for not complying with the face-mask rule.

Another eight establishments were fined and warnings were handed to 37 others during the checks that were carried out on Sunday.
