UAE leaders congratulate newly-elected Lebanon President

UAE leaders sent congratulatory messages to Joseph Aoun on his election as Lebanon's President, a role that has been been vacant since 2022.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai sent messages via social media of congratulations while wishing the Lebanese people security, safety and stability and a new phase of growth, prosperity and peace.

Posting on X, the UAE President wrote: "Congratulations to Joseph Aoun on his election as President of Lebanon. I wish him success in leading his country and its people to further stability, development, and progress, and I look forward to working with him to strengthen cooperation between the UAE and Lebanon."

Also posting on social media, Sheikh Mohammed said: "We congratulate His Excellency Joseph Aoun on his election as President of Lebanon... We wish the brotherly Lebanese people continued security, safety and stability... and a new phase of growth, prosperity and peace."

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, sent a similar congratulatory message to President Joseph Aoun.
