Sharjah announces remote working for government employees

File Picture

The Sharjah Department of Human Resources has announced remote work system for all government employees in view of the rising cases of COVID-19.

The move will come into effect from February 14.

The government departments will be allowed to decide on the percentage of people required to work from home, and those who will need to be in the office.

If remote working is not possible, shift systems can be introduced so only 50 per cent of the staff are present at one time.

All offices must maintain the highest level of COVID-19 safety regulations, with each worker seated two metres apart.
