More than 2,000 students from schools around the UAE were invited to the unveiling of the Zayed tolerance pledge.
Launched in conjunction with the historic visit by Pope Francis, the pledge reinforces the importance of tolerance as supported by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The Pledge of Tolerance lists nine statements, including respecting others and taking firm positions against violence and hatred. In addition, it calls on individuals to play their part in creating peace for all.
