Top of the agenda are infectious diseases and vaccination, best practices in adolescent medicine, and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver in children. Dubai’s first hospital dedicated to paediatric care is due to open this year. Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital has 200 beds, and cost nearly AED700 million to build.
