Emirates Airline has cancelled three more flights between Jakarta and Dubai on Tuesday following the temporary closure of the Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK) due to volcanic ash.

In a statement, the airline shared that one outbound flight- EK356 - and two inbound flights - EK357, EK359 - all scheduled on September 8, were cancelled.

Eight flights had been previously cancelled on September 6 and 7, marking the third day since the airport's closure.

Passengers connecting through Dubai to Jakarta will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice, the airline added.

Travellers have been advised to check their flight status regularly, with those impacted by the cancellations encouraged to rebook their trip.

Indonesia's Mount Anak Krakatau (Crack-a-tow) has been erupting since Friday, which prompted eight airports to shut down operations for safety reasons, with more than 340,000 travellers impacted, and more than 2,900 flights either delayed, diverted or cancelled.
