Rugby: England’s Mike Brown escapes citing and can face Wales

England's wing Mike Brown (CL) and Ireland's wing Andrew Trimble (CR) go for the ball during the Six Nations international rugby union match between England and Ireland at Twickenham in south west London on February 27, 2016.

England rugby star Mike Brown will be free to face Wales after he escaped a citing following an incident in his side's Six Nations win over Ireland. Conor Murray needed stitches to a head wound after Brown's boot made contact with the Ireland scrum-half on Saturday. The incident was reviewed by the referee during the game and then by the citing commissioner, but it was decided that Brown didn’t deliberately inflict the injury. Wales are next up for Eddie Jones’ side when they meet at Twickenham on March 12.
