Ireland have earned a place in the playoffs of the Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers after beating Nigeria by eight wickets in Abu Dhabi.

They dismissed their opponents for only 66-9 in twenty overs, and then reached the target with 83 balls left.

It was the fifth-quickest victory in terms of balls remaining in T20Is.

The Netherlands also reached the playoffs after crushing Bermuda by 92 runs.

The Dutch team hammered 206-3, thanks to their highest-ever T20 opening stand (123 runs) between Max O'Dowd (58) and Ben Cooper (58).

In reply, Bermuda could only manage 114 for the loss of nine wickets.

Elsewhere, Namibia defeated Singapore by 87 runs in Dubai to book their playoff spot.

The Namibians racked up 191 for 8 after being sent to bat and then bowled out Singapore for 104.
