Sharjah launches industrial zone security drive

WAM

A new community awareness campaign is being launched with a focus on security in Sharjah’s industrial zones.

Sharjah Police and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) have organised the drive.

The year-long initiative targets business owners in the zones.

It will provide them with information on boosting security and safety, as well as measures to protect against theft.

These include installing high-quality surveillance cameras and fire alarm systems, hiring well-trained security guards and making sure facilities are closed properly after work.

Ziyad Mahmoud Al Hajji, Member of the Board of Directors of the SCCI, underscored the importance of the campaign in enhancing awareness about the measures that have to be taken to protect the facilities and strengthen stability in the industrial areas.

Al Hajji said, "We, at the SCCI, are committed to playing an active role in making the emirate’s economic life flourish, in cooperation with the competent authorities and institutions and through the joint work with different community sectors."
