Further steps are being taken to ensure all private schools in Dubai cater to students with special educational needs by 2020.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has issued a guidebook to help schools implement the changes.
It covers procedures related to admissions, assessments, staffing and resources.
Schools are also required to form inclusion support teams to ensure a smooth transition.
The changes are in line with the government’s efforts to turn Dubai into one of the friendliest cities in the world for people of determination.
