More checks to crack down on fitness centres promoting unlicensed drugs

NULL

Dubai’s Department of Economic Development is getting tough on gyms and health clubs caught promoting banned drugs and steroids. It's also stepping up inspections and holding awareness campaigns targeting consumers and traders. The joint campaign, in partnership with the UAE’s National Anti-Doping Committee, comes in response to a rise in complaints about the promotion of unlicensed drugs at fitness centres. Authorities have warned violators of hefty penalties, including fines and temporary closure of their facilities.
