The COVID-19 testing and sanitisation drive in Al Ain's industrial areas has been completed.

It is part of the National Screening Programme that aims to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus by early detection and treatment.

In a series of tweets, the Abu Dhabi Media Office highlighted that residents living in 2,140 buildings in the area were screened for COVID-19, while 305 residential complexes were sanitised.

Free transportation, medical assessment and multi-lingual awareness programmes were held for 170,000 residents.

That's not all. As many as 228,500 face masks and 497,000 free meals were also distributed.

Implemented by the Department of Health, in partnership with relevant entities, the campaign was completed in 18 days.
