Halal tourism is on the rise at 6% ever year, making it the fastest growing sector in the global travel industry. That's according to experts at the World Halal Travel Summit & Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, who say the market is projected to be worth over AED 844 billion by 2020. CEO & Managing Director of DinarStandard, Rafi-uddin Shikoh says Halal tourism is definitely here to stay as it is just in its infancy.

As the summit kicks off, Dnata has announced new tours and services designed to care for the needs of Muslim travelers. The program offers Muslims holiday packages to destinations such as Geneva and Kuala Lumpur, with Muslim-friendly accommodations that serve halal food and have prayer rooms on site. The summit will run until October 21.
