Dubai Ruler pardons 490 prisoners to mark Eid Al Adha

A total of 490 Dubai prisoners are being pardoned and released, following an order by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The decision is a gesture to mark the occasion of Eid Al Adha. The prisoners are of different nationalities, serving terms at various institutions across Dubai. Legal procedures are underway so that the prisoners can unite with their families this festive season. Overall, 972 prisoners are being pardoned across the UAE: 490 from Dubai, 238 from Ras Al Khaimah, 132 from Sharjah, 72 from Ajman and 40 from Fujairah.
