Abu Dhabi's Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has approved an extension of remote learning for educational institutions for one week, from January 17.

The decision applies to all public and private schools in the emirate, as well as universities, colleges and training institutes.

The move is aimed at enabling educational facilities to be fully prepared for a safe return for students.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) earlier confirmed that distance learning would be extended for a week at public schools and universities.
