Another 48 establishments have been pulled up in Dubai for violating COVID-19 precautionary measures.

As many as 39 restaurants and cafes were fined for allowing dine-in beyond permitted hours while the other outlets were penalised for not complying with the face-mask rule.

Warnings were also issued to two shops for not displaying social distancing stickers.

The violations were detected by Dubai Economy during inspections across open markets and shopping malls in 18 different locations on Monday and Tuesday.

A tyre shop, fitness centre, salon, print and copy centre, mobile phones shop, tailoring shop, and a general trading outlet were among the entities caught breaking the rules.

Dubai Economy has urged traders to strictly adhere to the precautionary measures and has also called on the public to report any violations.
