Troops in the Philippines in two hour shoot out with Abu Sayyaf

Military troops in the Philippines have clashed with members of the Abu Sayyaf group in the town of Patikul in Sulu province, killing at least three suspected militants.

Five soldiers were also killed during the two-hour shoot-out.

It comes as the search continues for those behind last week’s church attack in Jolo, where an Indonesian couple are thought to have been responsible for setting off devices that killed at least 22 people and injured more than 100.
