School students form ‘human chain’ in support of Hong Kong protests

Hundreds of school students formed human chains across Hong Kong on Monday in support of anti-government protests.

The students held up posters with the protesters' five demands and urged authorities to respond to the promises of freedom, human rights and rule of law.

University students were also expected to join the human chain protests.

Meanwhile, metro stations reopened on Sunday amid violent protests.

Three months of protests over a now withdrawn extradition bill have evolved into greater calls for democracy.
