Man held in Brisbane airport bomb scare

A man has been arrested after he allegedly sparked a bomb scare at Brisbane Airport.

According to reports, the man walked into the international terminal on Saturday evening holding a metal box with exposed wiring and later threatened a woman with a knife.

Police evacuated the airport for more than two hours and later clarified the incident was not terror-related.

The 50-year-old has been charged with offences including breaking a restraining order and stalking with a weapon.
