Union Co-op, Emirates Co-op, Carrefour and Lulu will be providing their suppliers with free sales space for two months, to play their part in supporting the local economy.

The initiative will save suppliers around AED 46 million, while contributing to price stability for consumers and food security over the months to come.

The initiative is part of efforts to support various economic sectors and reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Food co-operatives and supermarkets are allowed to stay open during the disinfection drive, but Dubai residents need to a permit before leaving home.
