Etihad Airways and Emirates Airline are resuming services to the resort island of Phuket as it reopens to international tourists.

Passengers who are vaccinated against COVID-19 will not be required to quarantine on arrival.

Etihad will fly three times a week to the Thai destination from July 1, while Emirates will operate four weekly flights from July 2.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently confirmed that vaccinated travellers from low-risk countries will be permitted to fly direct to Phuket without having to quarantine from July 1 as part of a pilot programme.
