Burj Jumeira: new mega project unveiled in Dubai

A new landmark is set to grace Dubai’s skyline.

The 550-metre tall Burj Jumeira will be located opposite Sheikh Zayed Road in Al Sufouh neighbourhood.

It will have multiple observation decks, giving visitors 360-degree panoramic views of Dubai.

The tower will be the centrepiece of Dubai Holding's master development, Downtown Jumeira.

Construction will start soon, with the first phase of the project scheduled for completion in 2023.

Overview of Burj Jumeira:

The tower’s design is inspired by the harmonious ripples of the UAE’s desert sand dunes and its flowing oases.

The tower’s façade will be covered with digital displays that can be utilised for various occasions and celebrations, further reinforcing the tower’s role at the heart of Dubai’s community activities.

The Crown:

At Burj Jumeira’s summit is the crown, which has the flexibility to host different events.

At 450 meters high, it is capable of expanding to accommodate varying capacities and uses, with a sky-lounge and an interconnected sky-restaurant.

Observation Decks:

Burj Jumeira will have multiple observation decks going beyond the traditional concept of viewing platforms.

They will become major points to witness fireworks and other events in Dubai throughout the year, as well as giving visitors the chance to take part in extreme sports.

The Base of Burj Jumeira:

The base of the tower is designed in the outline of the fingerprint of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

It will feature water fountains and a terraced outdoor amphitheatre that can host interactive lighting and fireworks displays.

Surrounding the base of Burj Jumeira will be a fully integrated and vibrant retail component.
