Arab Coalition committed to preserving Yemen deal: Dr. Gargash

The Yemen peace deal is now at a "critical juncture", according to the UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Anwar Gargash tweeted that the overall political process is under threat due to the ongoing violations of the Stockholm agreement by the Houthi militia.

The Minister held talks with the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, during which he reiterated the UAE's support for the deal.

Dr. Gargash also added that there is a distinct opportunity to address the crisis in Yemen and stressed the importance of the UN's role in doing so.

In a letter to the Security Council, the Coalition has shared concerns about Houthi violations and their impact on the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement. Compliance with the Stockholm Agreement is essential for further steps in Yemen.
