Canada cuts staff at Cuba embassy over mystery illness

Canada will cut its embassy staff in Cuba by half after another diplomat fell mysteriously ill.

As many as 14 cases of mysterious health problems have been reported since early 2017, with many complaining of dizziness, nausea and difficulty concentrating.

In a statement, the foreign ministry said the symptoms were "consistent with those of previously affected employees".

Canadian public broadcaster CBC said just eight officials would be left at the embassy.

Last April, families of diplomatic staff in Cuba were asked to return home.
