Apple to patch privacy bug in video-calling feature

Apple has temporarily disabled its video-calling feature in iOS and macOS to fix a major security flaw.

According to reports, the bug in the FaceTime app allows users to listen in on the people they are calling even when they have not accepted the call. Some reports claimed the bug also broadcasted video from the user's phone.

"We're aware of this issue and have identified a fix that will be released in a software update later this week," an Apple spokesperson said.
