Rent declines are benefiting a quarter of UAE residents

A quarter of UAE residents are paying less rent than they did a year ago.

That's according to the Yallacompare Consumer Confidence Tracker, which surveyed more than 1,200 UAE residents on the state of their finances.

The data also suggests that the decline in rental rates hasn’t yet led residents to move home in search of lower rents, or a better place for the same money. In fact, 61 per cent of respondents said that they haven't moved homes, while 26 per cent shifted to smaller homes and only 13 per cent to bigger ones.
