Traffic arrangements in place ahead of Papal Mass

Elaborate traffic arrangements have been announced ahead of the Papal Mass in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

That's according to the capital's police force, which has confirmed that vehicles will not be allowed in the Zayed Sports City vicinity between 12:00 am and 6:00 pm. Also, heavy trucks, construction vehicles and buses will not be able to access Al Maqta'a Bridge or Sheikh Zayed Bridge between 1:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Authorities have dedicated parking spots for buses transporting worshipers from across the country. Parking at Al Bateen Airport will be dedicated for buses coming from Dubai and other northern emirates, while the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque parking spaces and the Ministry of Interior's parking lot will be accessible for buses coming from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra area.
