Dubai-owned P&O Ports official killed in Somalia's Puntland

A senior official of the Dubai-government owned P&O Ports has been killed in Somalia’s semi-autonomous region of Puntland.

Dubai Media Office confirmed in a tweet that three other employees were injured in the incident at Bosaso Port.

The exact circumstances of the incident are under investigation.

P&O Ports won a 30-year contract in 2017 to develop and operate the port in Puntland’s commercial hub, Bosaso.
