Leopard cub found in passenger's bag at Indian airport

A man has been arrested in the south Indian city of Chennai after he attempted to smuggle a leopard cub into the country.

Acting on a tip-off, Chennai airport security officials were alerted after they heard a "faint sound" coming from the bag the passenger picked up from the baggage carousel.

Following a thorough examination, the one-month-old cub has been moved to a zoological park in the city.

An investigation is currently underway to determine whether the man is part of an international smuggling ring.
