Crocodiles out on streets in Australia after devastating floods

Australia's military has been deployed to tackle devastating floods, which has brought crocodiles and snakes onto the streets.

Authorities in the north Queensland city of Townsville issued warnings after several saltwater crocodiles were spotted in the flood-ravaged Townsville area.

This comes as the floodgates of the Ross River Dam were opened earlier in a bid to relieve pressure following eight days of heavy monsoonal rain.

Thousands of people have been forced out of their homes, with authorities warning of strong winds and more rain in the next few days.
