At least 11 people have been killed after a war-damaged apartment block collapsed in the Syrian city of Aleppo.

According to reports, only one person was rescued alive from the five-story building in the formerly rebel-held neighbourhood of Salaheddin.

Many of the buildings around the block still bear the scars of the nearly eight-year conflict; with several on the brink of collapse.
