Telephone equipment came in second accounting for 8 per cent, followed by car imports valued at 6 per cent.

The authority's statistics also revealed that the Asia-Pacific region was at the forefront of trading, accounting for 42 per cent of the total non-oil trade.

Meanwhile, Europe came in second at 23 per cent, followed by the Middle East and North Africa accounting for 19 per cent of total trade.
